The 2025 model year is wholly underway across the industry, and while some brands still have some vehicles yet to be released or even unveiled, Toyota has already announced a dozen of its models. A quarter of those models belong to the Corolla family, so we thought we’d hone in on these three models to give you the rundown on what’s new in each of them. We’re talking about the Corolla itself, as well as both the Corolla Hatchback and GR Corolla. Each one has something different to offer and makes a great option in its respective segment, but what’s new for the 2025 model year?
The Toyota Corolla is without a doubt one of if not the most iconic nameplates on the Toyota lineup. It has been around since the early ‘60s, making it the oldest and longest lasting model the brand still has in production. Its popularity is the reason so many variants have been able to join the lineup through the years. But the tried and true Corolla remains one of the most popular vehicles on the market.
This year, Toyota has added a new special edition version of the Corolla called the FX Special Edition. Built onto the SE trim level, it enhances the compact sedan’s style with several additional design cues and features, check them out in the following list:
There have been hatchback variants of the Toyota Corolla dating back decades, but the current Corolla Hatchback model was introduced for the Corolla’s 12th, and current, generation, which kicked off in 2018. This year not much needed to change for the model, but engineers did make one subtle adjustment in connectivity. The Toyota Audio Multimedia system has been upgraded with a new Integrated Streaming feature, which allows connection to separate Apple Music and Amazon Music subscriptions for audio streaming in your vehicle.
The third Corolla variant is the GR Corolla, engineered by Toyota GAZOO Racing, the motorsports division of the brand. This year there are some exciting additions and enhancements coming to the 2025 Toyota GR Corolla, including a new trim level and an awesome new transmission system. Read about all of the upgrades in the following list:
In addition to these three variants, there are three more that haven’t yet had any information released for the 2025 model year. Those are the Corolla Hybrid, Corolla Cross and Corolla Cross Hybrid. As far as we know, they will also be returning for the new model year, but just haven’t yet entered production. Feel free to get in touch with us with any questions you have about these three new 2025 Toyota Corolla family members, or to inquire about updates for the three that haven’t yet been announced. We look forward to hearing from you!
